Porcelain tureens were mainly used to serve hot foods at formal tables from the 17th century onwards.  As well as keeping food warm as they're lidded, they were beautifully decorative.

Still useful as kitchen to table, we think they'd look wonderful just as a decorative piece on a dresser, a flower oasis for a gorgeous centrepiece, or how about giving a lovely glow to your table by filling them with wax sand.

Details:

Chatsworth Flow Blue by K & Co (Keeling & Co), dark blue Tureen made in Staffordshire, England made between 1890's and 1912.

Condition:

She has a chip on the inside of her lid (as per photo) but otherwise she's gorgeous.
